On the shopfront, embroidered curtains protect the pastries from the sun and offer a warm signal from the street.
Inside the pastry shop, a series of wall hooks holds brushes, aprons, and storage elements.
Solid wood tables, conceived for the space and crafted in Marseille, anchor the space.
Handmade cushions, crafted in Marseille, complete the ensemble.
The project consists in revitalising a pastry shop that has been part of the Marseille neighbourhood for more than ten years.
All the furniture and textiles were designed and custom-made for the space in collaboration with local artisans.
Each element is modular: shelves can be moved, curtains fold and shift, and wall hooks can be rearranged as needed. They hold brooms, aprons and everyday tools, highlighting the connection between beauty and utility, and the gestures that shape the life of the shop.
On the façade, embroidered curtains protect the pastries from the sun and create a warm, inviting presence from the street.
